We carry out various activities on the island of Faial. Our services aim to make our natural, cultural and historical heritage known with the support of local guides. Activities are planned so that our customers get the best out of their visit to Faial.

My name is Ramiro, I'm from Faial Island and I have family all over the Azores. I am passionate about nature and the tranquility of this land. For this same reason I decided to create a tourist entertainment company in order to accompany and provide the best experiences for those who visit us.

    Yes! We will pick you up directly at the Horta Maritime Terminal, at no additional cost! All you need to do is indicate the name of your cruise as your pickup location when making your reservation on our website.

  • I'm arriving by plane. Do you pick me up at Horta Airport?

    Yes! We will pick you up directly at Horta Airport, at no additional cost! All you need to do is book your tour in Private mode and indicate the Airport as your pick-up location when making your reservation on our website.

  • Does Trilhos R - Azores Tours work with large groups?

    Yes! Although we normally operate with 9-seater vehicles, we can accommodate larger groups with multiple vehicles or even a minibus or bus. If you are traveling in a large group, please ask for a quote at info@trilhosr.com.

  • Can I cancel an activity after booking on the Trilhos R - Azores Tours website?

    Yes! We give our customers maximum flexibility, so you can cancel your booking at any time and receive a full refund up to 24 hours before the activity starts. Our cancellation policy is indicated on the Terms and Conditions page, point 5.

Terms and Conditions

  • 1. General Information

    1.1. These general conditions regulate the sale of services and experiences/activities between Trilhos R - Azores Tours and the client.

    Trilhos R - Azores Tours, through its promotional means and partners, presents and offers a series of tourist entertainment experiences to be enjoyed by the direct or indirect purchaser. These experiences are organized, carried out and produced by Trilhos R - Azores Tours and/or by reputable and qualified suppliers, under the agreements entered into between each of them and Trilhos R - Azores Tours.


    Once the experience or product has been selected, Trilhos R - Azores Tours will send you, after payment of the respective price, proof (e-mail, voucher, invoice or other proof) that will grant you the right to carry out the experience or product purchased.

  • 2. Prices

    2.1. All prices indicated on the Trilhos R - Azores Tours website are per person or per group, in Euros (EUR).

  • 3. Acceptance of reservations

    3.1. Trilhos R - Azores Tours only accepts reservations made by people in full possession of their legal capacity and competence. Legal entities must act through a duly authorized person.

  • 4. Arrival at the location and compliance with the rules

    4.1. The client is responsible for arriving at the meeting point on time. If you are arriving for the booked activity from abroad, you are personally responsible for the necessary travel documents (passport, etc.), compliance with safety rules, etc.

  • 5. Cancellation Policy

     Cancellation policy for Island Tours


    5.1. You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund, excluding the booking fee and interbank fees.


    • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
    • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
    • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
    • This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund (excluding the booking fee and interbank fees).

    Cancellation policy for Hiking


    5.2. Customers are free to cancel their booking at any time and receive a full refund up to 8 days before the start of the tour, with the exception of a 10% operating fee.

    • Cancellations between 7 and 4 days before the start of the tour will incur a 50% charge.
    • Cancellations 72 hours before tour start or no-shows are non-refundable.
    • Customers will also receive a full refund (with the exception of a 10% operating fee) or credit in the event of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
    • If participants are not in good physical shape to carry out this walk safely, and do not come with the appropriate and recommended equipment, the guide may cancel this activity (without the right to a refund).
  • 6. Exclusion from participation

    6.1. The customer is personally responsible for complying with the rules and conditions for participating in the activities. Trilhos R - Azores Tours and its suppliers have the right to refuse admission or exclude from participation in the activities customers who do not meet the participation requirements, or if the customer's participation puts the same or others at risk, or interferes with the normal performance of the activity. In these cases, the customer is not entitled to a refund of the price paid.

  • 7. Atmospheric Conditions and Technical Unforeseen Events

     7.1. The performance of the experiments is subject to the existence of favorable technical and atmospheric conditions. If the experiences are cancelled, the customer will receive a full refund less the booking fees and interbank fees from the Stripe platform or  will be offered the possibility of making a new reservation, and the client must indicate a new date, but always subject to the weather conditions of the respective day and Trilhos R - Azores Tours  availability. If the client incurs in expenses or losses of a cancellation on the same day due to adverse weather conditions or unforeseen events beyond Trilhos R - Azores Tours, the latter cannot be held responsible for them.

    8.1. The risks inherent in carrying out tourist entertainment experiences are covered by a personal accident policy and a civil liability policy whose coverage is as provided for in current legislation, namely:

    9.1. During its experiences, Trilhos R - Azores Tours will be able to cover images and video (with sound) of the aforementioned experiences. Thus, unless otherwise indicated in writing, prior to the experiment, the participant in the experiments assigns all rights and authorizes the use of the photos and videos collected during the experiments and in the periods before and after them, for placement on the website and sending the audiovisual material to all clients and in Trilhos R's marketing and publicity actions or its partners. All copyrights are reserved to Trilhos R - Azores Tours.

Retention
